Do I need a subscription for using Academic?

Yes, you need a subscription to access our database.  Please contact an account manager or the service desk about the options.

What are the costs of a subscription?

The costs of a subscription are based on the combination of several factors: access to multiple sources, number of employees, etc.  If you have questions about the monthly subscription, please contact your account manager.

Which sources are available in the database?

There are more than 35.000 sources in our database.

How far back do the archives go?

The dates of coverage differ by source. You can use the Source Locator for more background on the sources.

FAQs FOR STUDENTS

How do I get access to Academic?

LexisNexis has no login details for student researchers.  Students have access through their university or college, based on IP recognition. The IP addresses of educational institutions are registered with us

If you see a login screen of Academic at home, the computer is not connected to the network of the university.  We recommend that you contact your school’s library about login problems.

How many articles may I download?

You can download up to 10 articles.
